Pacific Crest Trail Angels
We are trail angels for Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) hikers. Most PCT thru-hikers have walked 1018 miles from Mexico to here, going on to Canada. Some are section hikers who do only parts of this 2600 mile hike for many reasons. We have met people from all over the world and hope to have a map and guest book this year so we can document these facts. Offering free services to PCT hikers is our way to serve one another without it being conditional. By the time these hikers have reached Strawberry, some contemplate finishing. It's a feat for sure!
Below are a list of services these humans receive. We have received many donations to help this year. We even have driving trail angels that bring these folk back to the Sonora Pass trailhead. It takes a village. If you'd like to help, let us know by sending us an email or message.
No-Charge Services
LODGING
All PCT hikers are welcome! Beds are provided with clean pillow cases.
TOILETRIES
Please help yourself! Shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion are donated by our wonderful community.
COOKING
We provide a grill for your use. Please let us know if you need an ice chest.
CHARGE UP
Power strips are available for all your charging needs.
LAUNDRY
Washer and dryer are provided with free soap and dryer sheets.
Laundry-day clothes are available.
INTERNET
Wi-Fi is provided on an open network. Strawberry Store Guest 2.4
SHOWERS
Take as many as you like during store business hours. Towels are provided.
STORAGE
Store your food in our small fridge or food box. Free zip-lock baggies are provided. Leave unwanted items for fellow hikers.
WILD LIFE
Mosquitos show up around 7:30.
Yes, we have bears! Please keep your food secure.
