Introducing...

Bob and Gina

Hi ya'll..it's us, Bob and Gina.  We bought this store on April 28, 2022.  I was a school teacher in Ceres and retired in July 2020.  Bob worked for his parents in Exeter, running a small commercial company.  We met in 2019 and married during Covid in 2020.  We hopped on our converted school bus and ran a disinfecting company while traveling the US.   My dream after retiring was always to come back and camp host at the campground that I visited every year (sometimes multiple times during the summers - Pinecrest has my heart) and after one season of hosting, Dodge Ridge asked us to work for them that next winter and low and behold the store came up for sale during that time.  We prayed about it, sat across the street several times and envisioned what we could do for Strawberry.  For me, a dream to be up here full time.  Bob wasn't from this area but fell in love with it quickly as it reminded him of his local mountains in Three Rivers and Sequoia National Park.  We have 7 children between us and 4 grandchildren under the age of 4.  Most of the children are in California.

We started our morning show in March of 2023 because a couple came in right before we were closing and were so excited about the recent 6 feet of snow.  Don't get me wrong, snow is beautiful and lovely and all things great, except in March after experiencing the worst snow year in the last 50 years.  We were a bit negative and then the couple let us know they followed us on Instagram and wanted to meet us.  I was mortified.  We are NOT typically negative about much so I told Bob we needed to somehow undo that first experience and here we are doing a morning show every morning Monday - Friday and it's turned into a bit of everything on the mountain.  If you haven't caught a show yet, tune in on IG, FB or Youtube.
